Decorating and perfecting

I added some putty and glue to help stabilize the controller but it still catches sometimes because the wire isn’t entirely straight. Hopefully this improves with use.

Mouse Project

I spent half of thanksgiving with my two cousins who graduated with computer degrees and my dad trying to help me figure out this project. After hours of trying to connect the pieces we finally got somewhat of a working model but it’s a bit finicky. I’m going to get some more glue tomorrow and see if I can make the pieces more stable. This project is really beyond me and it’s making me feel like a complete idiot. At least it somewhat works now. I took a video in case it breaks before Tuesday.

Mouse

So I want to use this food chopper to move in a box front and back for the zoom and right to left for the horizontal movement. I have gathered a random ensemble of supplies to try and make this a reality.

I’m waiting to meet up with my cousin on wed to get an old mouse with a usb connection as this one isn’t being recognized.

I’ll try to connect it to this one and hopefully transfer it once I get that one.

Nightmare

Well I called just about every place in the cities looking for a ball mouse. Then, I finally found a friend who had an old one, but it needed a converter, which cost me $18. When I tried hooking it up to my laptop it only recognized it as a keyboard so I could never try it out.

I found a food chopper that I may use as my input device.

No mice @ Microcenter

Today I went to Microcenter in search of a ball mouse. They said they no longer carry them, they’re discontinued. That was rather horrifying. I’m officially panicked. I guess I could try to use the optical mouse, but I’m confused so who knows.

I finally got rid of the error that prevented my photo gallery from rendering out but I can’t figure out the z-index at all.

Terrified

I tried to work on this a lot this weekend and I just don’t understand processing at all. I tried reworking code Tim provided to make it do what I wanted it to do but it’s all over the place and every time I think I understand something, it doesn’t do what i’d expect.

Idea for 3D space photo Gallery

I want to use a steering wheel to maneuver along “The Road to Hana.” and have pictures of the drive to your left and right.

The Road to Hana is world famous for the natural beauty of its unblemished landscapes and towering waterfalls. Maui is understandably proud of Heavenly Hana's successful fight against overdevelopment and the destruction of their Hawaiian culture.
